My latest endeavor has been creating a series of mini interactive sound installations using Max MSP and Arduino.

Vallecula is an installation meant for people to play and enjoy. The installation contains over 100 vocal samples, performed and recorded by Ivory Smith and 20 different Max patches. All pitches used in Vallecula are part of the Eb Harmonic Major scale.

* The center buttons trigger slow chords
* The right round button on the right triggers melodic burst
* The left round button triggers the poem
*The left knobs manipulate the pitch center and tempo of all the samples
* The left on/off switch controls direction of all samples
* The right on/off switch controls the octave of the melodic bursts
* The two left knobs control the amount of tremolo applied to the long chords and the amount of

Each time the poem and melodic bursts are triggered there is different melody and rhythmic pattern generated.
